My Experience with Elle 18 Glow Compact:
Elle 18 Glow Compact comes in a plastic compact pan and the compact pan comes covered in an outer carton case. It closes tightly with a snap. The product is very light in weight and is easy to carry around and easily fits in hand bag without reserving much space, the bonus is that it comes with a mirror which is big enough to show the whole face in it so you don’t need to worry to carry a mirror for touch ups. ;-) It has a very pleasant and fresh smell which enlightens the senses every time upon smelling it.
The texture of this compact is soft and spreads evenly on skin without being cakey or over drying. It has quite an average staying power and I think touch up would take care of that, it stays on for 3-4 hours. It provides sheer coverage and won’t help much in hiding marks and dark circles but for the ones who don’t need much coverage from a compact, this is a great option. It keeps the skin matte and fresh as long as it’s on and touch ups extend the freshness as well. It will work for all skin types, mostly oily skinned girls will love it but my dry skin didn’t face any issue with it as such like looking cakey or ashy but it may aggravate the dryness in people with extremely dry skin as it’s a powder and may set into dry patches and fine lines.
The puff applicator is good enough for application and I didn’t face any issue with it, it’s soft and gives a smooth application unlike some other puff applicator which are harsh and aggravates the dryness on skin.
The shade I got is pearl which is for the light complexion, I don’t have much knowledge of these shades and all and I always end up picking the shade which is for light skin. This shade matched my skin pretty well. It is peachy in shade and on application it gives a pink glowing effect besides that compact coverage though not a blush effect but some peachy glow. It does not hide any of the flaws and give me a light coverage which I don’t like about it. :-| As it matched my skin pretty well, I couldn’t show you the swatches as the shades that match my skin well ends up blending in my skin and does not show up on my hands. :-D

- Four shades available for every skin tone.
- Gives a matte effect.
Cons of Elle 18 Glow Compact:
- Doesn’t cover up any flaws (marks, dark circles).
- Could be a little drying for extra dry skin.
- Ingredient list is missing.
- May not help in keeping the skin oil free for long.
- May set into fine lines and wrinkles.
- Could be drying if the base is not moisturized.
- Gives light coverage.
This is a great option for makeup beginners who don’t want to spend much on a compact but want compact in their makeup kitty. Overall, it’s a great budget option for a compact and is perfect for college goers or for wearing daily.
