My Experience with Elle 18 Glow Foundation:

Elle 18 glow foundation comes in a black tube with its same trademark logo picture as on its all products. I quite like Elle 18 products packaging, so girly and unique! This foundation has a screw cap which I think is not a problem at all as it’s convenient to use the product. I first bought the shade shell thinking that it’s the lightest shade and would suit my skin tone perfectly until when I used it and realized that the shell shade is too dark on my skin so I bought the lightest shade- pearl which suits my skin tone perfectly and is for fair skinned girls.Elle 18 Glow Foundation in Pearl Shade ReviewThe consistency of this foundation is medium and blends easily onto skin. I once used it without a moisturizer and to my surprise it didn’t dry out my skin and gave it a perfect matte finish and then again I used it with a moisturizer underneath and it gave a perfect dewy finish with medium coverage. It instantly brightens up the skin and feels very light on skin, doesn’t make skin cakey at all but I’d still recommend very dry skinned girls to use it with a moisturizer underneath to avoid any dry patches or rough texture. I think it will suit all skin types and everyone can give it a try and the bonus is that it is available in four shades to suit every Indian skin tone so find your perfect match and give this a try if you are looking for a budget sheer to medium coverage foundation. It also photographs well if paired with a good concealer and compact. I once took pictures with this foundation on my face and the pics came out really great and fresh.

Elle 18 Glow Foundation SwatchesPros of Elle 18 Glow Foundation:

  • Inexpensive.
  • Available in 4 shades.
  • Easily available.
  • Blends easily.
  • Gives sheer coverage.
  • Will suit all skin types.
  • Sturdy and convenient packaging.
  • Does not feel heavy or cakey on skin.
  • Staying power is good, stays on for 4-5 hours.
  • Didn’t cause me breakouts.
  • Brightens the skin.

Cons of Elle 18 Glow Foundation:

  • Does not contain SPF.
  • Ingredient list is missing.
  • Does not cover marks and dark circles.
  • Can be a little drying for extra dry skin so make sure the base is well moisturized if you are planning to use this.

Do I Recommend Elle 18 Glow Foundation:

Yes, if you are looking for a budget sheer coverage foundation for daily wear then this foundation can come to your bet. This Elle 18 range is specially meant for college goers who wants to use budget makeup products without looking that they have been painted in makeup. This foundation is great for beginners.

BML Rating: 3/5

Foundation Tip:

Always apply foundation in small strokes and in downward direction to avoid cakey look. If you apply in the opposite direction it will cause your facial hair to stick out which gives uneven and cakey look. If you are using foundation on acne prone skin, just pat it onto your skin and don’t rub it, patting will give more natural look and will cover acne.
