Cucumbers can be used on skin in many ways. They are high in vitamin A and C, manganese, potassium, silica, sulfur and also has a high amount of antioxidants. Cucumbers work as astringents and cool the skin. It also lightens the skin tone. Cucumber juice is quite useful for taking care of excessive oiliness, apply it regularly if you have oily skin and it will reduce the oiliness. Cucumber contains phytochemical which are known to tighten the skin and keeping wrinkles at bay. Cucumbers makes the skin fresh, younger and delays the aging process. Cucumber is good for all skin types, it hydrates in some packs while mattifies in other packs so both dry and oily skin types can use it.Homemade Cucumber Face Packs1. Cucumber, Coconut Water and Milk Face Pack: 

Combine 2 tbsp of cucumber juice, 2 tbsp of coconut water and 2 tbsp of raw milk and apply this mixture on face and neck with a cotton ball. Rinse off after 15 minutes. This pack gives soft and glowing skin.

2. Cucumber and Tomato Face Pack:

An amazing face pack for removing sun tan and giving glowing skin- combine equal amounts of cucumber juice (by squeezing cucumber after grating it), tomato juice and natural rose water. Use this mixture daily for about 15-20 minutes, it eventually clears sun tan and gives a glowing skin. You can even mix fuller’s earth (multani mitti) to this mixture to get rid of pigmentation and soothe sun burned skin.Homemade Cucumber Face Packs3. Cucumber and Yogurt Face Pack:

Peel half a cucumber and cut it into tiny little cubes and remove the seeds. Put the cucumber pieces into a blender and make a smooth paste. Add 2 tbsp of yogurt and 1 tbsp of milk powder and blend well. Spread this pack evenly on your face and neck after washing your face. Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes and rinse off with cold water. Cold water closes pores and tightens the skin.

4. Cucumber and Oatmeal Moisturizing Face Pack: 

This pack will brighten dull skin and moisturize the skin by exfoliating dead skin cells and cleansing the facial pores. Mix 1/2 cucumber (blend it first to make a purée of it), 1 tsp of olive oil, 2 or 3 tbsp of oatmeal and 1 tbsp of honey. Make a smooth paste of all the ingredients and apply to clean face and neck. Relax with it for 20 minutes and then wash it off.

5. Cucumber, Egg White and Corn Flour Face Pack: 

Combine 2 tbsp cucumber juice, egg white of one egg and 2 tbsp of corn flour (makke ka atta) and make a thick paste. Apply this paste on clean face and rinse off after 20 minutes. This pack gives clean and clear skin, tightens pores, draws out skin impurities and is anti aging in nature. Use it once a week to get a clear soft skin.

6. Cucumber and Turmeric Face Pack: 

Mix 1 tbsp of cucumber juice, 1/2 tbsp of turmeric, 1/2 tbsp of rose water and 1 tbsp of lemon juice. Apply this mixture on to your face with a cotton ball and rinse it off after 30 minutes. This pack removes tanning and gives you brighter skin.

7. Cucumber, Rose Water and Lime Juice Face Pack:

This pack can double up as a toner! Mix equal quantities of cucumber juice, rose water and lime juice (green limes) or lemon juice. Apply it to your face and leave it overnight. This pack or toner clears the complexion and keeps the skin healthy. This pack also treats dark circles if used daily, it also lightens and brightens skin tone. You can even apply this mixture before taking bath and rinse it off after 30 minutes.

8. Cucumber Pulp and Curd Face Pack:

Mix equal amounts of cucumber pulp (you can grate half a cucumber to make a pulp) and curd. Apply it to your face and neck for 20 minutes. This face pack whitens skin tone, reduces tan as well as gives a natural shine to your skin.

9. Cucumber Face Pack for Oily Skin:

Combine 1/2 cucumber, 1 egg white, 1 tbsp lemon juice and 1 tbsp dried mint leaves (fresh one will also do) in a blender and blend all the ingredients well. Refrigerate this pack for about 10 minutes to get a cooling effect, apply it to face and leave for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water and then cool water. This pack is great for oily skin types and keeps skin oil free for a good amount of time.

10. Cucumber and Vinegar Face Pack:

Combine 1 tbsp cucumber, 1/2 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp mint juice and 1/2 tbsp vinegar (you can use regular vinegar or apple cider vinegar to get better results) in a bowl. Mix all the ingredients well and apply it with a cotton ball on your face and neck. Wash off after 15-20 minutes. This pack is great for giving glowing and soft skin.

  1. I like cucumber.. I mostly eat it with salt n spices :P No. 2,5 and 7 … am gng to try this very soon… and haan i am trying that vitamin e one and i think its working :D but lets see.. Once when this fever n cold leaves me i ll try it again n tell u :D

  2. Cucumber pack is a great for the skin lightening. It is also effective for healing the effects of sunburn.Cucumber juice mixed with lemon juice and some turmeric powder, face pack is best for those who have oily skin. :-)) :yes:
