This is my first Inglot product review on my blog and I have quite a few products from Inglot, some Inglot refill lipsticks, Inglot highlighter and few refill eye shadows which I will be soon reviewing. Today I would be reviewing Inglot YSM Cream Foundation in 2 shades i.e shade 49 and shade 42. This is my current favorite foundation and I have been wearing it lately to almost every event or function I attend.
Peach extract and strong mattifying agents ensure this sheer long lasting, lightweight foundation provides a smooth, natural looking finish whilst leaving the skin radiant and comfortably plumped up.
Price: Rs. 1100 for 30ml (hiked from 970 to 1100)
My Take on Inglot YSM Cream Foundation:
I have been wearing this foundation lately everywhere I can remember. I wore this to my sister’s wedding, her ring ceremony, when I go out for a function, while photographing myself and most importantly I wore this foundation while meeting my mother-in-law and her sister. Yeah, I could only trust this foundation while meeting her for the first time coz I know how it looks on me, the coverage it gives, and that my skin behaves quite well with this foundation. I’m now very fond of using it everywhere I go. Did you guys hear that I met my mother-in-law, ya I was planning to tell it here until something is final and I can be sure that it can be taken further. She found me pretty but she was literally saying that I’m too thin (extremely thin) and that her son is lamba choda compared to me :-? All in all I was very embarrassed about hearing her and her sister saying this again and again. Now I think I need to do something to gain weight, if you have any good healthy trick to gain weight, please do let me know!! Coming to this foundation, Inglot YSM Cream Foundation comes in a transparent plastic tube with a black screw cap. The tube is just of my palm’s size excluding the fingers. The packaging could have been better, maybe something with pump dispenser or something that may look attractive. The foundation doesn’t have any noticeable fragrance, it’s pretty much fragrance less. The texture of this foundation is smooth and creamy and it glides very easily without feeling cakey or heavy on skin. This is best for dry skin as it gives a dewy finish but at the same time, combination skin can also try it as it doesn’t feel much oily, it gives semi-dewy finish. I generally apply foundations with my fingers as I’m yet to master foundation application with brush, if I apply foundation with brush I still feel the need to finish it with my fingers so I generally prefer using my fingers but now I’m planning on the beauty blender, have ordered it, just waiting for it to arrive. I heard beauty blenders are best for dry skin so I planned to get one for me. The finish this foundation gives is slightly dewy and matte, call it semi dewy! I have got two of the shades of Inglot YSM cream foundation and I mostly use shade 49. Shade 49 is best suited for NC30-35 and shade 42 for NC35. I’m somewhere between NC30-35. Don’t know about these shades, there is so much difference in the no. but both looks pretty much the same to me and suits the same skin tone in MAC. Shade 49 is light beige with yellow undertones and adapts perfectly to my skin tone, doesn’t look over the top and just blends in perfectly. It gives medium coverage and the coverage is quite buildable, I go on applying the second layer and it seems to give a flawless finish with great coverage though I still feel the need of concealer to hide my dark circles if I’m photographing or going out on an event.
Shade 42 is beige with pink undertones and gives pretty much the same finish as shade 49 but I mostly like using shade 49 maybe foundation with pink undertone doesn’t look that good on me. It is a perfect option for winters and for dry skin. I have not come across many great foundations for dry skin as mostly foundations are for oily skin but this one is certainly my favorite. I have got 5-6 foundations at present and I generally prefer using this one the most, don’t know :-/ maybe I’m addicted to it! The staying power of this foundation is again amazing, and it stays for 7-8 hours without topping with compact and will stay even more if you top your base with loose or compact powder. There are total of 8 shades and you probably can find your match. Though it is great for dry skin but I’d still suggest you to use a moisturizer underneath to avoid getting cakey look. It’s a very light weight foundation, gives medium to buildable coverage, great for dry skin, doesn’t feel heavy or cakey and is very easy to blend. But I think very oily skin types may find it a bit odd for their skin type and may better avoid it because of the dewy finish it gives.Swatches:And My First FOTD :D
PS: I love making duck faces :D and don’t mind my hair, they have not been washed since 4 days.

BML Rating: 4.8/5
This foundation is my absolute favorite for my dry skin and I’ve been using it almost everywhere and every time. It satisfies all my needs in a foundation though I feel it should have some SPF or packaging should have been a little more impressive! I highly recommend this to all dry skinned beauties and also to normal and combination skin, go get it and enjoy using it.
