My Take on Nivea Extra Whitening Cell Repair and UV Protect Body Lotion:

This body lotion comes in a new packaging unlike all other Nivea whitening body lotions. The smell is quite refreshing and pleasant but unfortunately it does not stay for long. The consistency of this body lotion is very runny and it comes out of the bottle without even pressing, I turn the bottle upside down and it comes out in a huge quantity as it is very runny!

Nivea Extra Whitening Cell Repair and UV Protect Body Lotion ReviewThe lotion absorbs easily and quickly on rubbing but it may take time if you apply it on damp skin. I usually apply my lotions on damp skin so I know by it that it takes 5-6 rubbing motions to properly spread and absorb into the skin when skin is damp but on dry skin it sinks immediately into the skin moisturizing the skin well. It feels very light and is perfect for summers and for those who sweat a lot and have oily skin.

Summers are all for light weight products and products with SPF and this body lotion would be great for summers though I wish it had a little more SPF and some PA+ protection to protect us against early signs of aging as well.

I have finished using the full 200 ml bottle and I have not seen any lightening of my skin till now. I wanted to use it for a month or so to see its actual results but it does not lighten or whiten as such though I have had quite good results with other whitening body lotions of Nivea. It is moisturizing but not enough moisturizing for dry skin, dry skin needs some extra moisture to get rid of the dryness and rough patches (even in the summer) and so this body lotion doesn’t help much with dryness and keeps the body moisturized for a few hours and that too is very light for dry skin. I sometimes go on applying two layers of this lotion just to get that enough moisturization on my skin. But this lotion would be great for summers and for oily skin, it does not make me sweat, protects against harmful sun rays because of the SPF in it and also prevents me from getting tanned. I don’t easily get sun burn when I have applied this lotion as I have tested it when the sun was at its peak, I was literally heating up during that time and it didn’t let me get sun burn. And yeah, this lotion has a slight cooling effect too, when I apply it after coming from the harsh sun, my skin cools down and feels much better. This lotion also prevents me from getting tanned to an extent!

This lotion adds an instant brightness to my dull hands which I love about it but sad the brightness doesn’t last much long, it fades within an hour. See in the swatches below.Nivea Extra Whitening Cell Repair and UV Protect Body Lotion ReviewSwatches:

  • Not moisturizing enough for dry skin.
  • Doesn’t lighten or whiten even if used regularly for a month or more.
  • SPF 15 is not enough for harsh summers here in India.
  • Excessive runny consistency due to which the lotion gets wasted a lot and sometimes more than the required amount pours out which leads to product wastage.
