Olay Total Effects Foaming Cleanser Review

Hello Prettiest!!

How are you all doing?  I am back with a review of a face wash which is Olay Total Effects Foaming Cleanser. I don’t know the reason of me picking up this face wash but if I picked it, I had to use it also and now after using it for quite long, I am here with a review. :rotfl: Tomorrow is my exam, so no more chit-chat, move onto the review to know how this face wash worked for me..

Olay Total Effects Foaming Cleanser

Price: Rs. 125 for 50 g

Product Claims:

Removes excess oil, get rid of dirt, removes makeup, gentle on skin, doesn’t overdry, helps lift away dull surface skin, non-comedogenic.

Directions to Use:

Dispense a small amount of product into hands. Add water and work into lather. Massage gently onto face and neck. Rinse thoroughly.

Warning: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If product gets into eyes, rinse thoroughly with water. If skin or eye irritation develops, discontinue use. Keep out of reach of children.

Such funny warnings companies give on their products, who would use a face wash internally, isn’t it funny?  :rotfl:  :-D

Olay Total Effects Foaming Cleanser

My Experience with Olay Total Effects Foaming Cleanser:

Olay face wash comes in a small white tube with a black flip open cap. Packaging is sturdy and travel friendly, it will easily fit in handbag so it is perfect to be carried on vacations. Its consistency is creamy and it lathers really well, it is greyish in color which is very unique, at least for me  :heh:. It smells really nice, it is very pleasant but it disappears soon after washing face with water  :smug: It cleanses skin well and easily washes off without being stubborn and sticky  :jump: It works well in removing dirt and makeup and makes skin clean but the only problem I had with this is it makes skin dry and stretchy, I can’t stand my skin without a moisturizer after washing with this which is a big turn off as I am always looking for products that can make my skin soft like the Avon face wash which really makes my skin soft. Seriously telling, I didn’t like it better than my Nature’s Essence and Avon face wash  :-((

Olay Total Effects Foaming Cleanser

Pros: :)

  • Lathers well.
  • Washes off easily.
  • Creamy consistency, is not that soapy in nature.
  • Cleanses skin really well and removes dirt and makeup.
  • Pleasant fragrance.
  • Easily available everywhere.
  • Travel friendly packaging.
  • Its non-comedogenic.

Cons: :(

  • Pricey, 125 for 50 g. How unfair is that  :quiet:
  • Dries out my skin and makes it stretchy, I can’t even wait for 3 minutes to moisturize my skin after washing with this.
  • Not suitable for all skin types especially dry skin.

Rating: 3.5/5

Will I Repurchase it?

No, it dries out my skin and I don’t like products that makes my already dry skin more dry, so I’ll stay away from it.

Final Verdict:

This face wash will work great for oily skin because it dries out the skin and keeps it matte forever so I think oily skinned beauties can try it.
