Hello Everyone!

This is my 100th post on my blog and I am so excited that I’ve reached here so soon. Thank you all for showing so much love and support, I really appreciate how people are liking my work and accepted me really fast as a blogger. Today I will guide you through how you should treat your skin in the morning, everyone has their own skin care routine and some are still unaware of what skin care regimen they should follow in order to get that beautiful skin they have always wanted. So let’s move on and see what should be our morning skin care routine.

Morning Skin Care Routine

Wake Up Your Skin:

If you have oily skin, wash your face with warm water as first thing in the morning, doing this will reduce excess oil and prevent your face from pimples and blackheads. If your skin is dry, then don’t use warm water, this will make skin more dry instead wash with lukewarm water.

Clean Your Skin:

While taking shower, wash your face with a cleanser as per your skin type. Use only a mild cleanser that does not have any harsh chemicals as heavy chemical based cleansers harms the skin in many ways. Cleansing every morning removes dirt, bacteria, previous night products that may cause breakouts, so it is very important to cleanse your skin in the morning.

Use Toner:

Mostly, all girls forget this important step in their skin care routine because they don’t know the importance of toning. Toning balances the pH level of skin, calms the skin, prepare skin for the next step and keeps it nourished. Its main role is to remove any traces of remaining cleanser and the bad effects of hard water. Take a cotton ball or cotton pad, take out some toner on it and simply wipe over your entire face. You can also use a toner in other way, take out some toner on your palms and pat it on your face. Don’t use astringent and alcohol based toners in this cold weather as it harms the skin and makes it rough and dry.

Moisturizing is a very important step in every skin care routine. Oily skinned girls think that they don’t need a moisturizer because their skin gets more oily by using a moisturizer but if you think this way, you are totally wrong. Not using a moisturizer will show its effects on your skin in the long run and then you’d be cursing yourself for not using a moisturizer. By not using a moisturizer, you’ll be risking yourself with early wrinkles, fine lines, pigmentation, etc. Moisturizer maintains moisture in skin, keeps aging signs at bay, gives skin a glow and keeps it soft and supple. This step is very important for all skin types. However, if you have oily skin use a light moisturizer and the ones meant for oily skin type and dry skinned girls can switch to a heavier one in winters and light moisturizer in summers.

Whatever be the season, you should always use a SPF 30 or above sunscreen. This is certainly the most important step in your skin care routine and I’m very consistent with this step. If you want, you can even use a moisturizer with SPF which will do the sunscreen’s work but make sure the moisturizer has a good amount of SPF to protect you from harmful UV rays.

This is the simplest morning skin care routine I can think of. I know many of you are thinking, why didn’t I included exfoliating in this routine, this is because exfoliating or scrubbing should not be done in the morning as it makes your skin more susceptible to sunburn and sun tan.
