Hello Gorgeous!!
Today I will be reviewing Pond’s Gold Radiance Youthful Glow Day Cream. I know I’m too young to use anti-aging products but my age does not stop me from using such products that looks so tempting and unique and moreover gold in this cream tempted me to pick it right away as I always had a dream to be swiped in gold. No, I’m just joking ;) you just move on to the review to know about this product..

My Experience with Pond’s Gold Radiance Youthful Glow Day Cream:
Pond’s Gold Radiance Day Cream comes in an easy to use packaging with a pump dispenser. The packaging is sturdy and travel friendly and I have not faced any issues with the packaging so far. I have been using this cream for over a month now but not regularly sometimes I skip it and use my sunscreen or sometimes just a regular moisturizer when I can’t find this cream anywhere. This is because my stash is full of products and whenever I use any product, I just throw it wherever I am and my mom keeps it aside safely which then leads me thinking where have I kept the product I was using, so when I can’t find anything which I wanted to use or was using for a continuous time period, I head over to another product. This has happened with me many times especially with this Gold Radiance Day Cream!! :-P
Coming back to this cream, it is off white in color and has a creamy slightly thick texture. It has a mild faint smell which I’m not even able to smell as it vanishes quite fast. When I applied this cream for the first time, I could see some gold glitters on my face, I liked how it made my face shiny (not the oily shiny thing but the glow that gives a shiny look). It has some shiny glittery particles as the product claims that they are gold particles but can’t really make out is it the real gold or just the usual shimmer we often see in some products! It gets absorbed quickly and dries to a semi matte finish, it does not make my dry skin more dry and neither it leaves it moisturized, it just leaves it glowing with a semi matte finish. I love how it leaves my skin looking polished and glowing, if you have seen some models photographing in that tanned polished glow then you probably can guess how it would look like when applied onto face. I can even go out with just this cream applied, it gives that unique polished glow which I won’t mind flaunting. But you can only go out with this cream when you don’t have any marks or anything to hide as it’s not a makeup product so it does not give any kind of coverage. It would make a great makeup base, try using it under your makeup and who knows it could be your next perfect makeup base.
The only thing I don’t like about this cream is that the glitters looks weird at the end of the day, the effect of cream vanishes in 4-5 hours and only glitters can be seen on the face which looks very weird and ghostly! And for the dullness it claims to lift away, it does not give any permanent results neither it takes away the dullness from face, the glowing effect is only temporary and it does not do anything for the skin in the long run.
I know it’s quite short to reach to a conclusion for any anti ageing cream as we should use them for continuous 3 months and then reach to some conclusion as to how they are! But for me, if this cream couldn’t do anything in one month, I feel it won’t be able to do any good further and moreover at this price, it’s like getting a hole in my pocket purposely knowing that it won’t do anything and still relying on such a cream. I’m better off with regular moisturizers!!
Pros of Pond’s Gold Radiance Youthful Glow Day Cream:
- Sturdy and travel friendly packaging.
- Gives a nice polished look which is often seen on models photographing for magazines.
- Didn’t beak me out.
- Non greasy.
- Works great when used as a makeup base.
Cons of Pond’s Gold Radiance Youthful Glow Day Cream:
- Expensive.
- The glitter looks weird after 4-5 hours as they become highly visible.
- Some of you may not like the tanned polished look it gives.
- No permanent results.
- SPF 15 is of no use, still a sunscreen has to be used separately.
- I suspect whether it really has real gold particles in it or not, gold prices are touching the skies nowadays then how can we get gold particles in every drop of this cream. :heh:
