After having a not so good experience with VLCC Honey Moisturizer, I’m here to review the VLCC Skin Defense Sandal Cleansing Milk which also turned out to be a worst product from this range. Read on to know why this product made me say this..

Price: Rs. 125 for 100 ml.

Shelf Life: 3 years

Skin Type: Suitable for normal to dry skin.

Product Claims:

This refreshing, non-foaming cleansing milk is enriched with the goodness of Sandalwood, Almond & Indian Burberry extracts. It deep cleanses, nourishes and heals the skin.

Method of use:

Take appropriate amount of the cleansing milk & massage gently in circular motion over face & neck. Remove with damp cotton. Ideal for all skin types.

For best results:

Use in the evenings, specially suitable for removing makeup. Follow up with VLCC Honey Moisturizer.

My Take on VLCC Skin Defense Sandal Cleansing Milk:

I bought this cleanser a long back when I was suffering from acne. I tried using this cleanser hoping that it would clear up my acne as it’s all natural but to my shock it gave me even more pimples and a dull looking skin. I skipped using it then because I didn’t want my acne getting more worse. Then I thought to give it a try again when I don’t suffer from acne anymore, I used it and the next day was left with a weird bump on my face, :-? I knew this cleanser was the only culprit as there was no change in my skin care routine besides this cleanser. It just cleans the dirt and does not dry out the skin, that’s it and there’s nothing good about it. The consistency of this cleansing milk is just like raw milk (excessively flowy), my hands can’t even get hold of it, does not lather at all, the consistency is very weird and I have never seen this consistency in any cleanser I have ever used. Every time I wash my face with this cleansing milk, it brings dullness on my face and makes it dark. Overall, it’s a total waste of money and I would advise everyone to stay away from it.

Pros of VLCC Skin Defense Sandal Cleansing Milk:

Cleans out the skin well.
Inexpensive.
Travel friendly packaging.
Easily available.

Cons of VLCC Skin Defense Sandal Cleansing Milk:

It broke me out.
Leaves my face looking dull and dark.
Weirdest consistency of a cleanser I have ever seen.
Mouth of the bottle is too large.
Gave me rashes and allergy.

Do I Recommend VLCC Skin Defense Sandal Cleansing Milk:

No, never :loser: better stay away from it.

SP&H Rating: 1.5/5 I couldn’t do more justice to this cleanser.
